MK9 Smoke Combo's

I'm slowly learning basics to video editing lol. Smokes got some real damaging punishers, I would like it if you could combo from a teleport like Raiden. The last combo is for when you get a smoke bomb as a starter. I'm sure I forgot a few combo's but these are all you need.

Combo #1 37%
fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash b+bp ~ fk ~ d+b+bp, fdash ~ fk ~ d+fp bp ~ fjump ~ bk ~ d+b+bk

Combo #2 30%
fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ fjump ~ fk ~ air-grab

Combo #3 29%
fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash fk ~ d+fp ~ bp

Combo #4 36%
fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ d+b+bp, fjump ~ bk ~ d+b+bk

Combo #5 31%
b+bp ~ fk ~ d+b+bp, fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ fjump ~ bk ~ air-grab
(instead of fjump bk throw you can also fjump bk d+b+bk)

Combo #6 44%
fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ fjump ~ bk ~ air grab, d+b+bp, fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ fjump ~ bk ~ air-grab
(trick to this is to wait till your opponent almost hits the ground, then bk air grab)

Combo #7 28%
d+b+bp, fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ fdash, fk ~ d+fp ~ bp ~ fjump bk air grab

Ok Ive got down the

fk ~ d+fp ~ bp, fdash b+bp ~ fk but the d+b bp smoke ball popup wont come out. what am I doing wrong?

@Br0kenMKplaya I don't remember if I was buffering the smoke bomb or hitting it at the exact right time. Probably buffering it. And depending on the opponents height when you combo into the smoke ball makes a difference on if it's going to work or not. Try hitting them sooner.

@BaggysAnime i play xboxlive and at the time, the patches were for online play only so training mode wasnt effected. I buffer all the smoke bombs, i input them early. The smoke bomb should link after ur kick. you might need to time the juggle a little higher because if they're to low it won't work.

@BaggysAnime I think what's wrong is your doing back+Square, Circle when it should be back+Triangle, X. I'll start writing the notations as 1234 lol less confusing

Thanks for another useful combovideo, man! I like that you can do these without the combometer and they all are doable in an actual fight!! I am becoming very good just practicing these combos, while you have to do all the hard work finding these! Lol.

@Bhup1978 I can actually find combo's in this game compared to MvC3 or SF4 lol. I will be gone for a week or so but I will try to keep recording. I will at least learn combo's and post later at the worst. Kung Lao, Jade, Noob, then either Quan Chi, Ermac, or Nightwolf.

Did they not nerf his combos so you can't do the first part in the 36% attack 3 times in a row and smoke ball?

But the smoke bomb is impossible to do. Unless the combo got patched? Someone mentioned the updates are done live on the server without any downloads needed. Meaning soon as you log in the updates to the moves are in. And with PSN being down maby this move hasnt been tweaked so u can pull of the smoke bomb after the kick?

@Aukmaud I find the numbers more confusing if anything. When people do numbers and letters it just doesnt compute with my brain what they mean.

Okay, so it's X, Down + Square, Triangle, Dash forward, Back + square, Circle. But after that then what? I can't make out that kick you do afterwards.

Yeah, man! I think to get longer combos the game primes you to use a bar in the combometer. I think you already have found the longest combos that are possible without the usage of the combometer.
