5 year old getting light birthday spankings but acting like he's getting beat up
quite humorous!
he would scream before anyone touched him in anticipation of a spank

Clearly this child was not enjoying the traditional birthday spanking ritual. Makes you wonder why any adult would then pursue it knowing that it was an unpleasant experience for the kid.

@rezlenski - yeah but its kind of like a right of passage... this is our nephew and he tends to over exaggerate and freak out easy (at least thats how it seems whenever we see him once a year)

@c2mcdaniel Isn't that wonderful...so you can have your "traditional right (sic) of passage" your family obviously chooses to do something that the kid hates and make him unhappy on HIS birthday. Good thinking. What is an over exaggeration for you, is a real expression of feeling for him. How he is feeling is obviously unimportant. And just such a reaction by a 5 year olds suggests that the "birthday spanking" is too close to the real event that must be traumatic for him to cause this.
