The outside of the cap is a torx 20 the button is a 15 good luck if your doing a 4x4 cuz its a biatch. I also suggest you tuck a rag behind distributor so if the screws fall your not looking for them forever cuz you will prob drop one if you don't I did and it rolled on top of trans and took forever to fish out.

Question....i replaced my fuel pump,fuel pump relay and starter in my 1991 Chevy 350 4x4...still no juice to turn the pump on...im just wondering if the oil pressure switch being 100% bad ...would the trucks fuel pump run with a bad switch?

getting ready to chang mine its tied into the fuel system turns out its why my fuel pump wont shut off when i turn the truck off pump would run for 2 or 3 mins.i unplugged oil sending unit and the fuel pump shuts off like it is supposed to.
what are the symptoms when this switch goes bad??? my oil pressure and fuel gauge jump in my cluster so i thought by replacing this switch would help my problem, anybody know if this will help me?

I ended up asking a friend of mine who is a mechanic, and he recommended that I change this unit because my oil pressure was fluctuating alot. In my situation this fixed the problem. If you Google,"oil pressure sending unit failure".... Answers.com explains it as well as some others. Hope this helps!
