Shopping? There's an app for that. With the new smartphone application, AisleBuyer, a unique software turns your camera into a barcode scanner, and can also alert shoppers of in-store promotions. The application requires you to log-in, after which you safely enter and store your credit card information in the phone. AisleBuyer also identifies trends in your shopping habits, suggesting items when it detects you need them. Add items to your physical cart as you add them to your virtual cart. AisleBuyer produces a digital receipt, which you show to a store attendant on your way out - eliminating the need for paper receipts.

The latest in food innovation does more than just assist shoppers. The app is a mobile commerce solution. Retailers can utilize shopping history, demographics and location to improve their analytics.
