2011 American Idol's Haley Reinhart Says Goodbye

2011 American Idol Season 10 contestant Haley Reinhart said goodbye on Thursday, May 19, 2011 after being booted from the Fox show. "This is the biggest platform anybody can ask for and I rocked it out and had a blast," Reinhart said. And then there were two. Haley Reinhart impressed judges on Wednesday night, but she met her final fate on Thursday when she was voted off by Idol fans.

"This is the biggest platform anybody can ask for and I rocked it out and had a blast," Reinhart said.

Reinhart had a less than graceful fall on Wednesday night, but other than that, did surprisingly well. Beyonce was the guest mentor this week, and she said of Reinhart:

"She has conviction and makes you believe in what she's singing. That's a big part of being a supersptar. Haley's a rockstar [and she's] incredible."

Oh, come on, these days everybody's a rock star. "Rock Star" used to mean someone who writes their own music and trashes hotel rooms. Now it's Justin Bieber. Nevertheless, Haley's talent is undeniable and we're sure this is only the beginning for her.

So this leaves Scott McCreery and Lauren Alaina. Put on your cowboy boots for next week's finale, because these two love to visit their southern roots in their song selections. Just kidding. Don't ever wear cowboy boots.

But going country could be a good thing. Carrie Underwood is officially the biggest earner in American Idol's history. This past Monday, Underwood beat out Kelly Clarkson in total career sales. Underwood has sold over twelve million albums. So apparently, there are actually people out there who listen to country music. Who knew?

Haley was offered the rights to sing Led Zeppelin by the group when they heard her sang House of the rising Sun. Adam had to request for his rights from them to use their song. To be offered the rights by the music rock royalty, it is validation of a great honor that Haley is super cool staff. To those who thinks she cannot sing, you are like a grade school kid trying to judge PHD level work. Keep quiet and learn.
