  • Reverência, amor e técnica...

  • Didnt those two hate each other?

that's why he alled his art Shinwa Taido.

I did not say that you did not know ; what i am merely stating is what my family know about O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba that is not normally shown on televised Documentary shows frequently stating the basic obviously or mythical side of O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba.

I fully respect each and every individuals knowledge of O-Sensei and their personal experiences. Mind you , i am no young grasshopper. The metaphors were meant to state O-Sensei's physical attributes. Strength and Techniques!

  • @MDIS"if you had read or asked or researched into O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba life" how do you know I didn't? Determination that is stronger than steel, yet as soft as cotton? I think you need to reassess your metaphors young grasshopper. Just to make one thing clear: I have the utmost respect for Ueshiba and is legacy. They changed my life. But the man is more interesting than the myth. I wonder if he would be happy with being adored and revered as you seem to do. I hope not.

  • @MDIS "exaggerated truths" my point exactly.

  • @aikistok

If you had read or asked or researched into O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba life, it was hard and his determination was stronger than steel, yet soft as cotton.

Daito-Ryu Aiki-Jujutsu did influenced his life and Chinese Martial Arts intrigued him. He trained night and day to forge his body. He became so strong that people actually believed that he is a nuisance as well as an almost godly martial powers when in actual fact - he trained hard and studied techniques harder.

  • @aikistok

The Great O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba trained hard and he trained with only one specific purpose, to strengthened his body and mind through the unification of techniques and combat usefulness.

Those great myths are nothing more but exaggerated truths. O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba was as strong as a bull and his training was brutally honest, hard core regime that normal jujitsu / jujutsu masters thought of as un-orthodox.

That is why he had great strength for a small old man.

  • @MDIS Wow, cool. It would have been nice to have met him. Now all you have is other peoples words and general mythification surrounding him. Guess I'll never know for sure and I guess I'll just have to trust on what Aikido brings me, in stead of what stories try to convey.

  • @aikistok

my granddaddy ( a kenpo , karate and jujitsu trainer ) trained under morihei before the formation of aikido whilst it was still aiki-bujutsu and the techniques are still forceful.

i remember my gramps using aiki bujutsu and it really does work when used in conjuction with chinese kenpo or okinawan karate-do.

  • @MDIS How do you know?
