Diffusion limited aggregation, first described by Witten and Sander, is the process whereby diffusive particles stick irreversibly forming complex branching fractal patterns. This is a cluster of 5 million particles grown using a custom program and rendered using Pov-Ray. The colour of the particles represents their age, with the first particles being red and the newest magenta. Watching in hi-def recommended.
