Tennessee Aquarium aviculturist Loribeth Aldrich answers the question, "Can the weather become too cold for penguins?" The Aquarium has two species of cold-climate penguins. Visitors to "Penguins' Rock" meet gentoo and macaroni penguins. While these birds like it chilly, they don't necessarily enjoy cold conditions. Aldrich compares the climates of temperate, sub-Antarctic and Antarctic species.
