Powell River Snow - December 2007

At the beginning of December, 2007, the west coast of British Columbia, Canada received the first snowfall. In this area it dropped only about 1-2 inches of the white stuff but in other areas more snow fell to wreak havoc for all of the unprepared west coast commuters.

In most of Canada, this little bit of snow wouldn't even be worth mentioning, but out here it is a big deal because very few people have snow tires and even fewer have any idea of how to drive in the white stuff.

It is funny to watch except when it ends in an accident. I always tell people to just stay at home and enjoy it because the rains will be back in a day or two anyways.

It never stays :( I live right on cranberry lake and it barely stayed frozen at all this year.
