It is kind of like having a tribute for Charles Manson

@1982RRusso hahahahaha... wait no

Why was Ted Kennedy buried at Arlington? I thought wales were supposed to be buried at sea

I think he means the main situation. Because it's not really appropriate to act happy in somber times, but here I think they were more welcoming everyone in the motorcade instead of just the hearse. I think the clapping was kind of inspired by the excitement of seeing Michael Jackson's coffin a month earlier, just like how people in Britain were inspired to do so after Princess Diana's funeral.

@BavariasFinest Actually they were All showing respect in clapping to say "Job well done." It was truly sweet of Senator Kennedy's family to honor the requests of Capitol Hill employees & the citizens of Washington to take that loop around the Capitol plaza enroute to Arlington. The family actually got out of their vehicles & took the time to hug & talk to many in the crowds & Senate Staff. I think it meant a lot to everyone, including the family.

R.I.P.....I find the clapping extremely irritating btw, show some respect.

Edward Kennedy died from brain cancer. The tribute is in his honor. People are paying their respect to the dearly departed Edward Kennedy as shown in the video.
