The piece was commissioned by Orchestra of the Swan and devised by the internationally renowned composer Pete Wyer.
This piece of work '97 Winter' is structured around readings of four of Shakespeare's sonnets (18, 73, 97 & 98), read by the public.
A live improvised recording of music took place at Compton Verney on 31 May 2010, which was then mixed with a selection of the submitted recordings. The sonnets chosen talk of the four seasons and the music was woven around the readings as sent in to the Orchestra.
