1997 Powerstroke Check Engine Light Problem.MOV

1997 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L often times will not accelerate and the check engine lights will stay lit for as long as I hold the gas pedal down. When I release the gas pedal the lights turn off but the truck shifts very roughly. If I turn off the truck and back on, the problem is solved....at least for a while.
