Hitler's last great offensive in the Ardennes failed. With British and U.S. armies poised to cross the Rhine in the west, and Soviet forces advancing towards the River Oder in the east, only one offer was on the table for Germany--unconditional surrender. The Allies would not negotiate with a country that had plunged Europe into war twice in 30 years. When the unconditional surrender came, it did give birth to a new European order--but one dominated by Stalin, not democracy and freedom.

I meant Russians suffered even more than Poland, wich had 6 million dead as Russians had 20-30 million dead. Soldiers, Children, Old people, women and children. Like what if Americans were treated like Soviets, Germans coming to their homes and raping their women and killing their children then the women too and old people, then burning people and villages alive, throwing babies into fires or smashing babies heads into rocks. Those kinda things affect human psyche...

Yea but the US soldiers and American soldiers did not experience such horrors of war at the normal soldiers at front and at home, Russians suffered more than any other nation, only second to Poland. They are happy at home in UK and US where their children, women and old people were murdered or their villages burned by Germans. If this had happened at homes of UK and US i tend to think that their mentality would be same as Soviets, of wich most had lost everything in the war. Friends and family.

If you want a scenario for the Allies fighting the Nazis after a Soviet defeat, google "The Anglo-American/Nazi War". It's grim to put it mildly.
