  • It helps to stay off the internet.

  • @millvalleyrn - This is true but a lot of people use the internet for their jobs and research, etc. Addicts need to learn how to manage their addiction so they can live a normal life and still utilize technology and not shun it. Addicts need to learn how to put a plan in place when they feel triggered.

  • If you don't want help with porn, then find, leave, don't start an argument that porn is good or something like that.

  • @innergold1000 I added you as a friend; send your lengthy message. I doubt you want to argue the point because many people seem to agree with you that they have a porn addiction. You don't need me to take up your time. However, I have a unique perspective on the subject that I haven't even begun to describe here. I know of no one who has a story like mine.

It comes down to the fact that NOT being able to view porn literally ruined my life.

And I dare say that porn phobia has ruined marriages

  • @Entropy56 we typed up a lengthy email but it was to long to post here. Again, our focus is to help people who are seeking and wanting help. Just because YouTube says something is, OK, does not mean we agree. Our videos are to provide encouragement and support. We have a company policy that anything that may be a trigger to one of our clients or someone seeking help. We will remove it, block it or trash it.

We have nothing to hide but this avenue of communication is very limiting.

  • @Entropy56 In our opinion viewing pornography is not healthy and should be avoided.

  • @innergold1000 So, are you saying that my comments were bad, or are you saying that the YouTube links I posted were bad? Because according to "community standards" it is acceptable to use the F-word here and show sexual content, etc. Apparently you disagree with YouTube's definition of "community standards" , which proves my point.

BTW, I don't take personal messages; I didn't join YouTube to take private messages but to discuss things in a public forum in the open. I have nothing to hide.

  • @Entropy56 we tried sending you a message in response to several of the comments you made but your settings did not permit it. Due to the content of some of the comments, we did not approve them. They would be triggers for those struggling w/ sexual addiction issues. Our goal is to provide a message of hope and healing to those seeking help. We are not here to try to convince someone porn is bad. There are several channels that successfully do this.

We're here for those seeking the help.

  • @Entropy56 true, it is a huge trigger and there are many that feel it is porn, some call it soft porn. Many addicts started out by viewing this, which led to greater curiosity and addiction.

  • @innergold1000 Sounds like Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition to me...
