Any ideas on where I can improve would be appreciated. This is a simple field strip of the uncommon FM90 Hi Power. It is identical to a normal Browning Hi Power and all parts that fit a Browning will fit this one. The only difference that sets it apart from other Hi Powers is that the slide is flat like a 1911 instead of getting narrow near the muzzle. It's a good gun just not quite as nice as an actual Browning. It will fit 1911 holsters except for plastic ones like a SERPA Blackhawk, etc. The ammo you see in the magazine and the round you hear drop out of the chamber through the magazine well is Federal 9mm FMJ. I have never fired any JHP through it so I don't want to risk a jam as this is a surplus military pistol. I'm selling it anyway so I don't really care enough to find out.

  • The point of unloading the pistol prior to whatever the video is about is to prove that it was empty and safe before the video and that you're a responsible person. No matter how safe you are and amazing and perfect you are... A gun is never "safe" and should never be loaded unless you intend to shoot it. Don't take this as flame or troll or hater shit. It's advice. It does not make the video cool.Therestoftheguncommunityslapstheirforeheadeverytimetheyseeavideopostedwithaloadedguninsideahouse.

  • @Mikeeitup91 The gun was already loaded prior to the video, I felt like including it as a why not kind of thing. I safely cleared the gun, whats the problem? Are all of your guns unloaded? I don't know about you but I don't want to have to load my gun as someone is already breaking in, one less thing to worry about.

  • A gun that is not loaded is nothing but a paperweight.

  • @esh325 It is, I'm actually wearing it right now with a mounted Streamlight TLR-1 in a Galco HALO holster. It's a nice setup.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR The XD is probably a better choice.

  • @esh325 Yeah but my XD is my go to handgun and can do more. I have no need to feed my FM90 JHP as it's in the process of being sold.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR "Said" is the key word. I have multiple Hi Powers and I never had one that wouldn't feed hollow points.

  • @esh325 I wish I didn't have to but due to reasons, I'm selling it to a friend. I like my XD-40 more anyway. The feed ramp has a hump which HPs have been said to hangup on.

  • I have fired JHP's through my old Belgian 1960's Hi Powers and they ran fine. You just have to test it. It may or may not work. If it doesn't work, you can can get EFMJ which is an expanding full metal jacket. It copies the shape of a FMJ for good feeding, but expands like a hollow point. My Hungarian Hi Power was not as nicely finished as my Belgians, but it worked every bit as good. If the pistol works well. Why sell it then? Think about it first.
