The irony is that mujahedins were supported and supplied by America in the past. But now American troops fight with them and have high losses.

this is American propaganda. The Afghan-Soviet War wasn't just a Cold War event. It was also part of the whole Islamic Revolution which started in the 1970's. America was and is still an enemy of Islamic fundamentalists but since the Soviet Army was in Afghanistan, the Mujahidin tolerated US support until communism could be defeated in Afghanistan. Fact is, America abandoned Afghanistan after the Soviets agreed to withdraw, until 2001 when it was too late already.

@smurf835 if you truly believe the UN is run by the Americans, then you are an ignorant fool. The majority of Americans want the useless UN off of our soil. I agree, we Americans need to let the rest of the world rip itself apart. As far as "getting our own dosage" what was September 11th? I have served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and whole-heartedly believe we did nothing but turn both countries into welfare states.
