the whole key is realizing that during your entire life, you have been identified with your thoughts / thought patterns. In other words it feels as if your thoughts are "you". This is the fundamental human dysfunction. These thought patterns are conditioned, repetitive and habitual. The practice simply involves witnessing thoughts as they arise. You are not the thought, you are witnessing the thought and also the resulting emotion. Just assume the Witness role.

For everything you get is a price,,,if you exercise Tolle's techniques you'll desensitize the mind, witch is the main reactor of the being .Because of fear to pain, you close your door to satisfaction.Personally i think the main reason we exist is because the universe wants us to generate feelings,we are " feelings generators". If we talk about the most scarce and probably the most precious feelings we can get (ecstasy,enlightenment), then we must talk about Divinity also.
