The native americans of pine ridge do want want a better way of life enough to do what is necessary. Our govt. is to blame because of all the handouts. It is like if you leave food out everyday for a wolf, the wolf will no longer have the desire to hunt. So too is the way with native americans and reservation life.

These people are doing what I wanted to do if I hit the lotto. I wonder if they need any help. I am not working and would be happy to go live on the reservation and help. I don't have money but I have me and my heart with 25 years of computer knowledge and an old beat up 4x4 Jeep wrangler to get me around. I will live in my tent.

The Black Hills are rich in gold and uranium. The Dakotas have tremendous potential for wind energy and geothermal activity. In other words, there are a lot of natural resources there.
Ever wonder why the gov't wants to get them out of the way, by having them move off the rez to get a job or to cut their life expectancy to 44 for the ones who choose to stay. With no grocery stores they have to rely on conveniece stores which have junk food which will take a toll on a person's health.
