The Andy Griffith Show - Dogs, Dogs, Dogs (3/4)

Opie brings a stray dog to the Sherif's Office and Andy reluctantly agrees to let Opie keep the dog. The dog mysteriously disappears only to reappear at the Sherif's Office with more stray dogs.

Andy and Barnie talk Otis into taking the dogs home with him after sleeping another one off in the jail. The dogs then disappear on Otis only to reappear at the Sherif's Office in a pack of eleven. In the meantime, a man from "state" arrives to look into additional funding for the jail only to be greeted by the pack of frisky, fun loving canines.

Barney's giraffe scene has to be one of the best in the history of the show. Still cracks me up everytime I see it!

I hate it when TV land shows this episode. They always cut out more than a minute of Barney's speech. From about 2:28 to 3:30 is cut and that cuts the guts out of his speech. Thank goodness for DVD's and Youtube.
