Of course the chant is going to sound dumb and stupid to opposing fans, but isn't that true for most school chants? Since when do opposing fans like "O-H-I-O", "Roll Tide" or "Go Blue" to name a few? Very rarely. Chants are suppose to unite one team and annoy the hell out of the opposing team.

do guys remember back in the day like around 2000 when the boilermaker extra special was the main horn and it was strong? i love purdue sports but that horn on the score board is kinda weak. and the one the band uses is kinda weak. and if that horn bothers u poisonous nuts maybe they should blow it after every play?
