Death Knight Soloing Violet Hold Normal

Deathet from EU Quel'Thalas solos Violet Hold on Normal.

Another challenge I succeeded at today. I was rather pleased at. Managed to complete a full Violet Hold run after numerous wipes. Boss wise the completed run was possibly the easiest combination to complete, however there was only one boss I particularly got stuck on. So here's some tips...

Erekem - Pretty easy, just keep up your dmg reduction and heal whenever it is off cooldown. Make sure you don't kill his adds first or you're dead!
Ichoron - As shown in the video. Move to the crystals every phase and use them to kill his adds then nuke at 25%!
Xevozz - Hits for nothing, just kite him around as you do when tanking him normally!
Lavanthor - Use dmg reduction when he breathes on you and keep up healing after the fire.
Zuramat the Obliterator - You take quite a lot of dmg, best thing to do is to Pestilence in the void and then Blood Boil, normally 1 shots the adds.
Moragg - The main issue with soloing this. He hurts! There's only you for him to focus on so no matter what you do you will take constant damage.. I've not downed him yet :(

Thanks for the comment. However if you check the date I uploaded this it was back in April before Ulduar was even released. If you take that into consideration with the level of gear it was a reasonable achievement.

You can also check out some of my other soloing achievements including a Heroic boss (Ormorok) when I was wearing the same Naxx gear! :)

Oh, since there is no way for you to actually tell that, you can also armory my Priest called Khep. You will notice same guild and same naming convention and my First Level 80 Dreanei Achievement. Just a little extra that may help you believe :)

if you solo , why does need/greed come up? huh huh Fake!

Actually if you look properly at 2:20 you'd notice that it's not need / greed when I loot it's actually the "Are you sure you wish to bind this to you" dialog. Also do you see anyone else in the instance and grid and recount (to show dps) clearly show that i'm solo.

i am inclined to belive that this is a private server. unless you are specced blood you cannot keep fighting with no food break in between with no healer

Death Strike makes all the difference. I couldn't solo him on my 67 prot war

Durn the Hungerer is the equivalent of any level 65/66 Instance boss. (By the way, i soloed him at 66, not 80 :)

I have seen rise in the potential of a Blood Tank/Soloing spec. While every person I meet denies the fact that I have the ability to solo instances (or group quests for that matter), I have used it since I started my first Death Knight. The trick is simply Death Strike. Being a prime dps ability, it provides your character the ability to bring down enemies while healing yourself for 15% of your max health every time you use it. I have soloed Durn the Hungerer, a 5 man group boss in Nagrand.
