I don't think Raiden is actually a bullet hell game. Ikaruga and DoDonPachi would be closer.

@knockers21 Dude, Raiden is like the original bullet-hell game! Look up some game footage of the later stages. I don't want to be rude here, but have you even played any of the Raiden games?

@GameKnightsShow Actually Raiden games are not considered danmaku shooters. Sure, they are difficult, but that doesn't make them danmaku (bullet curtain).

Google any Japanese listing for bullet hell shooting games - no Raiden there.

@GameKnightsShow Yes I have played and own Raiden I and II and all the Raiden Fighters Aces.I agree that the Raiden games are hard and do have a whole lot of action going on, but it's nowhere near the stupidly absurd amounts of bullets some other games throw out. In fact, I think that's why Raiden is so fondly remembered because it wasn't some impossible shooter that could only be beaten by masters.

This is what I love about you guys. You actually mentioned the frame rate and the fact that it runs at 60 instead of the shown 30. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that as it can be a major game changer for fast shmups such as Galaga Legions.
