Do you feel this tingling relaxing massage in your brain? Usually, when someone does something good for you, unexpectingly?

Some ppl call it "Brain Tingle", others call it "good mind", but i call it... "Pulse Cranium"

You MIGHT get a small amount of the feeling when you read these sites with blogs and posts of explainations:
-http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/7vw60/does_anyone_ever_experience_a_relaxing_tingling/

Possible causes: (for me at least)
-Someone does something nice for me unexpectingly, without me asking them.
-Someone explains something to me or describes a term or something. (At this point, i stop listening to them, and focus on that brain massage feeling, cuz its SO good)
-Someone touching or playing with your hair (yes, its weird, but it happens, even though ppl say my hair feels like a rug)

The most recent times i got this "Pulse Cranium" was on:
-Feb 24, 2010 talking online with my good friend Lani.
-Feb 25, 2010 reading the posts on the first link in this info box.
-Felt it about 3 times in the yr 2009, like i said, it happens on rare occasions.

ITS NOT CAUSED BY DRUGS or anything we put into our bodies, its something that occurs when we see something, or hear something (nice and pleasant or relaxed).

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE, i will post all updates in this info box

UPDATE: (Feb. 25, 2010)
- The closest term to describe it, in my opinion, is "Kundalini" for more info, click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kundalini

UPDATE (3-23-10):

  • I learned about this about 6 months ago. I get it in my scalp, bridge of my nose, small of my back, and find it soooooo weird and hard to describe. I find accents seem to trigger it. I think it is called asmr.

  • @MrDreamblade Sounds like it, but lately i've been getting nightmares alot, but no ASMR for about 6 months now. So be careful, and stay safe. Keep that tingling feeling strong, its like a drug, but its safe, and causes almost this relaxation with it. Have fun and take care.

  • I'm 23 and I just now decided to look this up....I always get this feeling when specific people speak to me...when i hear certain people's voices I have this tingling sensation that begins in the back of my head/brain and it pulses to the front of my head...it feels amazing...not sexual at all, but a pulsing pleasurable feeling in my head! It does not stop until the person goes away or stops speaking.....I wonder how many people get this? :)

  • @jaynerobyn Since the time i posted this video and visited the forums over this discussion, there must be over 200 people just online alone. We still want answers, but can't get them too easily, just wish a CT scan could occur during the tingle event. Please read the description if u want to look thru the forums, all talking of the same experience, and visit the FaceBook group ASMR. There are plenty of ppl there discovering each other. So please, have fun and take care.

  • This video did it for me!

  • @gowwe12 Facebook group link is in the info box btw. Have fun and take care, glad to meet more.

  • @jaynerobyn ya, i get the same thing when old wise men tell me information about life lol and people who have a jolly personality like santa haha... and also when someone is using something that i own

  • Someone working, concentrating but also using creativity; carpenters, gardeners, decorators, hairdressers, these are triggers for me, it's always unexpected, can't be forced.

  • I get this feeling at random times but the most frequent seems to be when I hear an Indian accent (in person).

  • My trigger is watching someone concentrated on their task. Teachers grading papers always had me will full scalp tingles that would explode over my body at times. As I have gotten older I rarely have full on experiences like that.

  • there's a reddit group too, apparently

  • @unicornsshouldrule 7 billion people on the planet and you thought it was just you?
