Apollo 13's 40th Anniversary is commemorated with this heroic folk song depicting the major events which the crew of Jim Lovell, Fred Haise, and Jack Swigert overcame along with the flight control team led by Gene Kranz. The music video is authored and performed by Jerry Woodfill, the Apollo 13 Warning System Engineer. The melody is based on the famous folk song WASN'T IT A MIGHTY DAY dealing with the 1900 Galveston Hurricane.

  • Especially accurate depiction of Apollo 13 critical events. I liked the rhythm and

guitar work. A great folk song commemoration for a historic space event equal

    to the Moon landing.

  • Thank you very much for all of your work inspiring the younger generation to work in the aerospace industry. It was an honor to hear your speech yesterday. Again, thank you for your clear devotion.

  • Great song, Jerry. It was wonderful hearing you speak tonight and getting to share a supper table with you! :)

  • Interesting folk song written for the anniversary of Apollo 13 by one of the engineers. Audio quality could be improved.
