  • the 6600 is stone age now.

  • @ BLooDWoLF07 - hey u idiot! when the 6600 gt 1st time appeared..the 8800 appeared also?

is like comparing an orange with a pickle!

    There's no connection between them!

The same thing is here u dumb fuck!

Those cards are from different generations and time! The 6600 gt was a few years ago as good as is the 8800 right now..but because the technology gets better every day..that card becamed outdated also. So..think a little before ever saying something!!!!

  • I myself am pretty satisfied with my ATI 5570.. You don't exactly need a overpowered GTX 470 to run games in the moment... Though wonder how long it will last that my GPU will be able to run games with no lags...

Fallout3 and Prototype with maxed graphics and with 1200x1000 res (I do have a pretty old monitor.... ) and have no lags at all.. ^^

  • I remember I first got the 6600 GT to play battlefield 2, was a good mid range card for the time, but now i'm rocking a GTX 470 which is like 10x the power LOL!

  • my graphics :)

  • that's because of stock fan make it suck in heat conduction(especially high end card like 285/295). most of stock cooler only suit to mid range card like 9800gtx/gtx 260. so it is basically nvidia's faulty heatsink design that make them hot as they use the same heatsink that 9800gtx had on the gtx 285/295.......

  • lmao! my gtx 260 is not the case :) the idle temperature is always keep under 45c and 69c in full load. in the other hand 6600gt is 50c idle and 76c in full load. who's cooler? :)

  • lol and 1 more thing :) 6600gt its way cooler than gtx 260, haah whats the point? we are talking about performance

  • fryer? i get max 80C at load, its not a fryer, even a gtx 295 or gtx 285 gets 90C...

and if i get 100? whats the problem? gtx 480 wont work slow in high temperatures

  • but my gtx 260 is way cooler :) unlike your fryer...........

  • Dont be stupid 6600gt its older, or my gtx 480 will rape your gtx 260 same thing

  • thank you! i have my fantastic life with gtx260!!!!!
