At my work I have to use a Mac but when I have to process a lot of photos I bring my PC laptop to work because my four year old laptop is far faster than my new Mac and the Mac crashes when I work too fast on it. The other graphics guy even said once "The problem is you don't give it enough time." I'm not the problem. Screw it. I'll use my PC laptop and then transfer the stuff to the Mac.

@amosnews The thing is, you could also have this problem with a shitty PC at work and a good laptop PC for home, only then you wouldn't be blaming "that damn PC" at work, you would just say "My work computer is just too slow." In this case you're just looking for differences between the computers, and from what little knowledge it seems you may have it looks like you wouldn't be able to find much between the two PCs. But since your work computer is blatantly a Mac, well then that's obviously it.

@amosnews Either the processor on the Mac is much slower or it has significantly less RAM or even ROM space (for want of VRAM) than your PC laptop. It has nothing to do with either one being a Mac or PC. Someone else could have this identical problem with a shitty PC and a great Macintosh. There are all types of shitty computers; being a Mac doesn't just "make it better," it has to actually have the specs to BE better. There's no reason for it, but I guess people just love to take sides.

@Sabei0990 any normal camera is compatible with mac.

@Sabei0990 Mac is a unix-like OS, so the drivers are integrated into the kernel. So you never have to worry about downloading drivers, similarly to GNU/Linux or FreeBSD.
