The overall finished sound I believe isn't very good. Though I use Mixcraft for doing this, I use it a much different fashion, but of course it all starts with the guitar and mics. The guitar itself isn't the best quality, and it's very irritating and ringy...a bit too trebly/middy, and what you said about bass is true, but there's such a thing as having too little bass. And me personally, would never use microphones like those. I trust my MXL 991. No doubt about it.

It's a matter of taste and affordability. I use electric guitar strings and aluminum picks, I like the tinty steel on steel sound. Yes there's of course is such a thing as too little low end, this is just meant to get people started, tweak it how you feel is right.

I use a Samson co3u USB mic but I can't get the softpre software. So everything I record there is a hissing sound in it and time after time I need to remove that with audio cleaning lab 17, but then I remove low/mid/high hissings,I don't know if that's right.. I learned everything from you,I watched every vid from you about mixcraft. You are great man! Could u help me with my problem?

Can you get a decent sound with a acoustic guitar (with 1/4 inch input) plugged into the computer in the microphone input?

You have to set that in your preferences, you'll know what to do when you see it.

Sorry, but absolutely everything he has said here about recording acoustic guitar, is absolute hogwash.......from the placement, to mic choices. Not to mention, his strings sound like electric strings, brittle harsh and thin.

I'm a begginer in mixcraft, and i would like to know how you got the two tracks recording simultaneously...

I tried arming two tracks for recording, but one i armed the second one, it disarmed the first one...I feel like such an ignorant right now...:(
