I haven't heard that poem for nearly 40 years when taught it in James St. CBS primary in Dublin. Came across first line while on an Aer Lingus flight on the seat covers and gave me goose pimples. Great school like to thank Mr Gleeson, Mr Kelly, Mr Creen, Mr Begley, Br. Keegan, Br. ( Bozo). Br Kelly and I cannot remember the other great teachers during that time. 1968 - 1974
Another jewel on the crown of Liam's work. Thanks for posting it.
It makes you wish you were a fly on the wall for all those memorable times he spent with folks like Joe Heaney, doesn't it? The stories he told are legendary, but how many more things could have been told but were not?
