i got the old one not SE2 one since i have a AM3+ moderboard can I use the AM2 bracket on AM3+ ?

I got an i7 920 at stock speeds, what temps can i get with this?
Currently sitting on a 50oC idle with a Akasa heatsink fan, very similar to this but only one fane pushing air through.
