What a haunting, yet wistful song. Clearly Battleship Hill refers to the Gallipoli campaign of WWI and yet there is something timeless and placeless about it too. A very human song full of sorrow and yet there is this realization contained within that leaves me speechless and sad yet manic and hopeful. Hard to explain.True genius here. Probably the best song dealing with war I have ever heard imho.

If this was to be the last song I ever heard I'd be a happy man. Puts the rest of the simpering "record industry" to shame. Bloody genius!

This song made me cry. In public. Repeatedly. And I'm a guy.

A beautiful and haunting meditation on the passing of time. It leaves me feeling breathless. Pure poetry.
