2009 WIHS - Grand Prix Show Jumping - Part 1 of 2

Every fall the week long International Horse Show comes to Washington DC in a neighborhood spilling over with some of my favorite restaurants and clubs. It's so odd to see horse stalls on the streets next to the Verizon Center. There were terrier races, a dressage demonstration by Canadian Olympian Ashley Holzer and Pop Art, and some impressive dog tricks by Zak George and Venus from Animal Planet's Superfetch. The Animal Planet sponsored montser neon green vertical was 5 ft 3 inches.

Shot with a Sanyo VPC-FH1 with dangling monopod to steady the shots, 1080/60P. Edited with Adobe PE7, ungraded, converted to 720/30P H264 for upload.

Very enjoyable to watch. The dressage bit was amazing! The piaffs and passage looked so smooth and effortless. The showjumping was great too!
