before you say anything, i am a ronaldo hater. but if you look closely then you can see the ball bobbles up just before he kicks it. these are virtually impossible to kick properly, and even the best would have missed that, as they did.

Look on 0:18 just before ronaldo hits it, the ball takes a big bounce, hitting the top of his ankle causing the ball to drift into another angle of space
