The 1gb version is very slow after 1-2 years. It freezes alot after 30mins- 2 hours and freezes for about 3 minutes straight. its fine enough for me... will more ram sort the freezing problem?

@96chrismann You cannot just say a certain laptop is slow after 1-2 years.. in your case your hard drive is most likely almost full and it's caked with viruses ones you don't even know of.

Download ccleaner It's free and run it

Delete any unneeded stuff

Get some decent Antivirus not Norton.

Or if you're really lazy and want to do what most people do

A factory restore

Also ditch vista if you can it's the worst operating system.. it uses alot of unnecessary services

Me and my dad both bought the same laptop.. DONT BUY IT. It is the worst piece of shit laptop you could possibly buy. We've both had it a little over a year, hes had it a few months longer. I've replaced the charger 3 times already with no physical damage done to the charger every time. And my 1 year warranty expired recently and within 30 days my hardware has been damaged (The geeksquad couldnt figure it out)

And now Dell doesnt give me cust service because the warranty expired. Im buyin a Mac.

@Maxim1Michel What's that got to do with it? I'm not comparing Dell and Fujitsu, I said that this laptotp is still overevalued; nowadays it still costs about 400€ and gives a lot of problems over time; I said that my newer Fujitsu is better because is technologically more recent, the materials are good and costs half. Also Fujitsu manufactures high technology and isn't "cheap garbage", combines German precision with Japanese quality. It's tough stuff.
