correction... Pastor Hargrove is the founder of Zion of Joy. The church was named Morning Star when it was under the leadership of Pastor Porter.

Pastor M.R. Hargrove is not the founder of Zion of Joy. She has been the pastor of Zion of Joy for over 40 years. However, Pastor Porter was the pastor before Pastor Hargrove. Pastor Hargrove is the founder of Holy Temple and Joy Temple.

Pastor M. R. Hargrove (the lady in white behind the pulpit) founded this church, Zion of Joy in 1964. She founded Holy Temple Church, Walstonburg, N.C. in 1968 and Joy Temple Church, Greenville, N.C. 1975. In 1970, God lead Pastor Hargrove to bring her churches into the Solemn Assembly House of Prayer Disc. Inc. She became General Overseer over the body of Christ. She is a Mighty Women of God. May the work she does, speak for her!
