Although California sucks in many ways, I'm sure glad I can easily find old cars that don't have all that IL rust.
I imported an 84 Fiero when I moved here from IL and the damn thing just completely rotted out, I had to give up on it when I found the frame nearly severed. So I went shopping for another, both Fieros I looked at were virtually rust free like they were new. The contrast is crazy. Salt sucks.
thats what i was thinking its defin not knocking or ticking. Do you know how much a place would charge to get that fixed? like resealing it flushing and running with inexpensive oil?

@CODxFUNxMAN Nope. I'd probably do it myself or palm it off to the Keykeeper or Furhead...I'd rather pay them because they could use the money.

do you have nay advice for my buick? it has coolant in the oil from a timing chain change. :((

@CODxFUNxMAN Change both right away, and consider running some cheap oil for a short distance and changing it again...both to flush the engine out and to see if the problem still exists.
Neither is good, but coolant in the oil will lead to bearings and similar things being damaged, or even catastrophic engine failure.

with the water pump and timing cover you know the design of them isn't so good, because you have to put the pump to the cover then tighten the bolts but by then the sealant gets smooshed and doesn't seal properly. I have to get it resealed both systems flushed refiled like you said. Do you think there is still hope? b/c i have put ALOT of new parts into this car little under a grand, and i will never get that money back so i might fix it b4 snow comes. only 64K miles on it! i can make a video??

@CODxFUNxMAN Well, that's not ideal. But if the engine isn't knocking or ticking...you /might/ be OK. It still needs to be taken care of and I'd suggest you not drive the car any more until you're sure it is fixed.
