@iubito2 Before establishment of Turkish Republic (1923), today's Malatya, Elazig, Adiyaman, Egin (or later it is renamed as Kemaliye) were an administrative unit called Kharput (Harput in Turkish) later this administrative unit is seperated as Malatya and Elazig. Both Malatya and Elazig share common characteristics. Arapgir is in Malatya but it is at the interception point of Malatya, Elazig and Egin.
@assyrian2NV We Armenians have a dance from Kharpert east of Arapgir called Jurjena. Is this how you pronounce gorgena? Does the "G" have a "J" Sound? For us Jurjena is a particular type of rythm 10/8 similar to that of Arapgir Bar. Also in Kharpert Armenians and Assyrians danced a dance called "Ourum Havasi". It was also called "Dzanr Bar"
