Heartfire Foundation held a singing contest sponsored by Shanghai Maxim Texile Co. Ltd. in August 2009 in Chengduo County, Yushu Prefecture, Qinghai Province, China.

The runner-up of the Elementary School Category is Yixi Yongcuo, a fifth-grader girl from Qingshuihe Elementary Boarding School. She has a voice so pure so simple which reminds people of the wind on the Tibetan Plateau. She was from a nomadic family. She learns to sing and play Tibetan guitar from her grandmother.

All the winners of the Maxim Singing Contest recorded a CD which will be available for purchasing in the beginning of November. All the profit will go to assist the educational programs in Chengduo County.
