Uh, he hasn't explicitly played the race card, but he's played the Muslim card, the alien card, the communist card, the liar card, the elitist card, the European card...
The only reason he hasn't played the Race card outright is he knows he'll get slammed for it. America is a different place than it once was, and he needs to speak in code, which he's been doing.
