I should ad, the real problem is egos! From the board room to the middle managers, the difficulty comes in when they must accept their limited control. How does one solve this issue? Personally I've always felt upper and middle management was nothing more the a bottle neck. Remove them and see what happens! I'm betting amazing things would happen. But will we ever be given the opportunity to prove our point? I am skeptical. Most upper and middle management suffer from ego mania!

yeah this guy thinks businesses have an "old school" way of thinking when they dont. they know EXACTLY what theyre doing. corporate America needs workers and as soon as you start to cognitively think, your brain sparks up and you start complaining, asking questions, taking your trade and striking out on your own and becoming their competition. passionate people make BAD workers. but i see what he's gettin at. if you love your work, its not a cage anymore. its like youre being paid to breathe.

Want your mind blown? Forget corporations; imagine a government founded on these principles.
...
...Go ahead, do it.
...
Got something in mind? Now, try to imagine one more future government, this time designed by a generation of people who have grown up under the first government, trusting in intrinsic motivation as solidly as much as today's leaders believe in carrots and sticks. If you're like me, this is when you ask, "would there even have to BE a government?" ...Cheers, folks.

Why do we think these principles apply only to business? I think what he is talking about has a universal value and meaning.
