You are an idiot, you can survive rabbies, but it is sheer luck. By inducing her into a coma, the brain cannot damage itself, at least not as quickly, and it gives the body and immune system a longer time to fight the virus. Eventually, the body will win. But most of the time, it is to late. But the Milwaukee protocol has so far saved 6 out of 36 patients, which is not bad considering without this treatment it is pretty much guaranteed death.

You can't survive rabies. The coma they induced her into got rid of some disease, but it wasn't rabies. Not to mention, if comas cured rabies, no one would be dying from it every single year.
