Oh my goodness, that was pure cinematic bliss.

Wonderful, Ozu's heritage is so present here... thank you so much for sharing. The very proof than Japanese cinema, classic or contemporary is just pure delight for the eyes and the soul. I am speechless...

A Japanese spin on the very Western will o' the whisp or Jack o' Lantern tale (mabaroshi no hikari), very subtle, very zen, so very Japanese.

I agree, the film was beautiful, visually stunning... I kept waiting for something to happen, a something with words. I was going to complain about the lack of any action or rethoric until almost at the end when she asks her new husband "why did he do it, why did he kill himself.. The new husband told her the "maborosi" legend, then, the whole reason for the film became quite clear ....excellent !!!
This is one of the most beautiful fims I've ever seen. Thank you so much for uploading this!
