Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
We need a saviour.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
:
Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Ephesians 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
FAITH is taking God at His Word.
Believe what His Son did was sufficient.
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Doesn't ask you to go forward.
Doesn't ask you to ask Jesus into your heart?
He tells you the Holy Spirit will come in whether you ask or not the instance you talk him at his word concerning what his Son did on your behalf on Calvary. He simply ask you to believe it. Doesn't ask you to give your life for Christ ..not to a sinner being saved. He ask you to simply believe Christ gave his life for you at Calvary. That's the saving message.
Christ did it all there's nothing left for us to do. God did all the giving. We do only all the receiving. You can do that right where you sit with your eyes wide open.
Faith is taking God at his word concerning what his Son did on your behalf.
If God the father thinks what his son did on your behalf where all of your sin debt is concerned (past, present and future) and he's satisfied that all of that sin has already been judged on the person of his son leaving no judgement for you where your sin is concerned..then we can take him at his word. If he believes it, why can't we stand with him on what he believes. THAT'S FAITH.
If he believes what his Son did was sufficient, then I will take my stand there and I will believe the same.
The instance you take your stand with God you are not only saved but sealed until the day of redemption of these earthly tents in which we dwell. Flesh wants to say if I broke it I can fix it. I want to add to it. He's not asking us to turn from anything to be saved. He's asking us to believe Christ accomplished salvation for us at Calvary and we're simply to believe it.
