Needs a LOT of work. We'll see how this goes. Has the CRAPPY 4.9 liter (301)...NO power whatsoever..doesn't help when it hasnt been tuned up in 20 years..i dont even wanna know when the oil was last changed but it still runs good.
Has power windows, locks and seats, AC, rear defrost. Pretty well equipped but its in bad shape due to all the leaks.

  • that sucks i just recently scraped a car here in pa it was 11 buks a hundred at the time lol, how your caprice running i love those old cars

  • @BusDriverStevo The caprice is doing "ok". I recently got a newer car to be my daily driver so the caprice will be my project car. Its been starting kind of rough in the colder weather..i think its just a vacuum leak but i'll get that sorted out later on. Next summer i plan to swap out the interior/ engine into my other caprice due to rot and water leaks. Hopefully i'll get it painted then too. I'm also thinking of doing some engine mods eventually "cam, vortec heads, new intake."

  • do u still have it hows it running

  • @BusDriverStevo Don't have it anymore. Had to scrap it. The ENTIRE metal lip above the windshield was rotted under the vinyl top, too much water damage inside also. If the lady i got it from took care of it it would have been a beautiful car to save, but in the end i gained $400 in scrap money. I did manage to take some parts off before it went.

  • @BusDriverStevo The engine was neglected, air cleaner was covered in oil. But the car always started right up! real shame it was un-savable

  • I have a 78 bonneville with a 301 and they are complete shit. It has 75,000 original miles on it then I spun a rod bearing and go it rebuilt and its still worthless.

  • @ehallesy2007 Yeah man i hear ya on that! They have NO power either. This thing has already been scrapped...the ENTIRE top lip of metal above the windshield was rotted away and who knows what the rest looked like under the soft top. The interior was a mess and water leaked inside everywhere. I got $400 for scrap, theres no other way i woulda got more money from that car...but hey, i got the 400 and took parts out of the thing too so i came out clean. Its too bad though, it looked good outside

  • It was my Dad's last car after 28 years of service in Saudi Arabia in 94... I was 16 then and however crappy it may be, it is the best car for me as it was the first car I have driven..pure nostalgia

  • like the chrome window things that stop the rain....been looking for ones that would fit a ford
