What position should the arms be in when you re-assemble the cover that had one screw? The one you had to take off before you got to the motor?

@showzen76 Left arm should be up, off the black gear, and the right arm should be down. This corresponds to the transport being in the "ejected" position.

@junker15 my playstation 3 doenst work to put on when it turns on it brings a yellow light then it turns off with the red light blipping whats up with that can u explain why is that happing cause this is the first time that happens to my ps3 and i have had it for four years

@elbabyelloko Yellow Light Of Death. Basically caused by poor solder joints in the CPU or GPU. There are videos here on YouTube that show you how to fix it using a heat gun (djwhetzel's 2-part series on reflowing the mainboard is the best I've found on fixing the YLOD without parting with $150.)

My son put in a game that was bent n now it wont eject can I open it n just take the disc out without having to do anything else?

@3hkd You probably have to reset the transport too, so my "revised emergency eject" video is better for that. It goes over all the steps in a single video.

@junker15 to be honest with u in dominican republic theres a lot a dust not like america where i was born and there is dust in the playstation u think that might have caused something in the cpu dude reply as soon as passioble im getting worried

On underside of ps3 is a small thin push Thad and it will come out

so i opened mine and theres this white thing sticking out and it won't go down and it's not letting me put my games in. i took out the disc i just don't know what to do with this white thing. help!!
