@090346I have to disagree that New Year is not a religious festival, Jan 1st is the first day of a calendar sanctioned by Pope Gregory XIII in the 1500's. Google it if you do not believe me, and been internationally accepted ever since. It is also dedicated by the Catholic church to Mary Mother of God, So maybe not in your book, but in mine it is. Oh! and by the way other religions and cultures have their own before you start that argument. It is not just another day for fireworks!

I think this is a modern age we have to live our life byself . Religion is religion nobody can change but we can change our own mind. Be modern and be good. New year is not a religious festival . Its a calander . We are living by this calander in this world. Very nice fireworks .
