LiveAirShowTV's Mark Allen interviews the crew of the 1965 UH-1 Huey helicopter that was pressed into action following the crash of the Galloping Ghost. These exclusive interviews tells their story, told in their words of that afternoon. Thanks to Ron Kaplan and Liz Margerum (Reno Gazette Journal) for the still images contained in this story.
Very cool.

I heard about the plane crash. I didn't know about the Huey, the people who restored and crewed it, who were involved. Really great work they did, given the circumstances. My condolences to the people and families that were hurt as a result of the crash. And my respect those those that came to help, as a result.
It must have been quite the sight to see that helicopter coming in and picking people up. Then, flying out to the hospital and landing. Good ending, with the flag in the windscreen.
