I show you how to avoid rendering your video every two seconds in final cut when you have made changes. Here is the download link for MPEG Stream-clip from the secure Apple Downloads Site: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/mpegstreamclip.html
Final cut express and final cut pro are both great video editing softwares but you need to render whenever you make a change. This FCE/FCP tutorial will show you how to avoid this annoyance.

  • you have to export it from that program though… am I the only one who can see that you don't end up saving any time at all? In fact, according to the reviews you lose quality as well.

  • you've missed out on one very important..issue. i noticed that your original footage is in 16:9 while the new footage is 4:3. I'm having the same issue and have no idea how to fix it.

  • you're awesome! thanks!

  • Every-time I try to render, FCP says "Insufficient disk space" and asks me to clear out the render manager, but theres nothing in it.. Can you help? :P

  • Top tip!!

  • is this legal?

  • I need to edit a 1920x1080 movie... but when i export it by 16:9, i still get a small black letterbox thing on the sides. Does it just not work for big widescreen videos?

  • Suberb! works a treat, thanks.

  • when you switch it to ntsc it changes from 1080p
