  • The determined grey one with black spots, thats on top of the black pup at 1:48, where is he now? whats he look like all grown up

  • @QuTuck That's a female who got named Cherry, I haven't seen her as an adult. I traded her for a stud. She was an impressive pup though.

  • @MidgardKennels Nice, Do you have any dogs for sale at the moment?

  • @QuTuck not at the moment If my breeding between Achilles and Psyche was successful I should have pups in late March.

  • HI sir,I just have a question if you don't mind.how long have you been feeding your dogs raw?Don't you have any problems with bacteria? How about quail?is it ok?What are the improvements that you have seen when feeding your dogs raw?thanks

  • I really got into raw feeding seriously about 3 years ago. Though I'd had plenty of dog before that that would kill and eat wild animals. I've never had a dog get sick from eating wild game. Dogs digestive and immune systems are designed to handle the bacteria in uncooked food.

  • LOL! That's an old school test.

  • They are a domestic species but they're not nearly as domestic as we are. I've even had dogs find rotten animals and bring them home to eat. It won't hurt them but it's not very good for them. A dog who does that a lot will start looking shaggy and thin. So only feed fresh meat. As for quail, I've never fed it but I'm certain it would be fine, there are no poisonous birds. I've fed pheasant, duck, turkey, and chicken.

  • Feeding meat, especially white meats keeps my dogs lean without loosing muscle. That helps keep them in good working shape. They look good as far as coat, gums, stool etc. They have clean teeth and better breath. They have about half the stools per day even compared to a good dog food. About an 1/8 compared to a low quality dog food. The makes my daily cleaning of the kennels a lot nicer. It's just so much more digestible, especially compared to corn based foods.

  • We barley digest corn and our intestines are about 4 time longer than a dogs. Remember it's also important to feed a good dog food along with a meat diet. It provides fiber, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins. Good dog food should also be a source of omega fatty acids. If not you can also feed fatty fish or at least give fish oil. I feed Enhance brand dog food I use their hunters edge premium formula. I've been happy with it for years now.
