This is an autonomous tractor in Iran that uses only a tilt sensor (no GPS) in order to drive along contours. It does very well. It was built by my friend Abdolabbas Jafari, Shiraz University, Iran, and shown at the 2006 ATOE conference in Kyoto, Japan.

  • It's not safe to let a tractor run by itself, it can run over a child.

  • I agree, but this is just an academic project to prove a concept.

  • Doing a good job. I'm sure it can be used in other mechanisms like factories or un-manned(without pilot) airplanes or in automobiles for accident-prevention (if used with a distance-estimating radar).

  • Well done, I want to see more of your videos on Youtube.
