  • They need housing land & claimed the golf course. Marty Zlotnik, (Van Park Commissioner- go figure) then proposed to give the Musqueam alternate land. The Liberals then gave The Triangle, an extremely sensitive, important part of the eco-system and Block F a link which binds the North and South park, to develop for housing - so yes it will be. If the Musqueam were given the golf course, they could build housing units around the periphery equivalent to what was done at Langara Golf Course.

  • The beautiful city of Vancouver is under major development right now and parts of Pacific Spirit Park are being used to settle aboriginal land claims. Much about this is highly suspicious.

Shameless development by the University of British Columbia has clear-cut a beautiful forest of 90 year old trees for maximum density housing. UBC officials responsible for this devastation sneer at the public's environmental concerns, while paying lip service with greenwashing tactics.

  • Suspicious? It's pretty much the only transparent thing Campbell has done - it was bait and switch - the 22 H deal was never gonna happen - it was a ruse to get the golf course into bagman Marty's hands and this will come out.

  • Let's get rid of Gordo Campbell before he sells our park to the highest bidder.

  • This might be a stupid question - I haven't really been following this issue. Is the whole park slated to be given to the musqueum band? If they get some of the park will they keep it as a park or will they develop it? It seems like the park should be theirs anyway. I sure hope that they don't develop it.
